REGISTRATION
When is the registration deadline? What if I miss it?
The final day to register is December 9, 2022. If you miss the date and would still like to register, please email us directly at ascend@spo.org.
What is your cancellation policy?
You'll receive a full refund if you cancel before November 1st. If you cancel between November 1st and December 1st, you'll get half of a refund. Unfortunately, if you cancel after December 1st, we cannot offer you a refund. If we have to cancel ASCEND due to COVID, you will receive a full refund.
PAYMENT
How do I pay for ASCEND?
At the end of the registration form, you will be able to pay for the conference in full or over 4 monthly installments via credit card.
Why are there different pay levels?
Great news - we are able to offer a discounted rate for students! The different pay levels correspond to the rooming situation you choose. You can choose to room with 2 other people, 1 other person, or choose your own room.
TRAVEL
I will be flying to ASCEND. What time should I arrive and depart?
Check-in will begin at 6pm on Jan 3rd, so please plan on arriving at MCO airport by 5pm. Our last session will end at 12pm on Jan 6th, so please plan on booking a flight after 2pm on Jan 6th.
What airport do I fly into?
Orlando International Airport (MCO)
Will there be a shuttle service available?
Yes! The shuttles are on a first come first serve basis, there are 50 seats per shuttle trip.
On Jan 3rd, we will have one shuttle bus leaving MCO airport at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm. On Jan 6th, we will have one shuttle bus leaving the hotel at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. If you arrive or need to leave outside those times, please plan your own transportation from the airport.

What does a typical day at ASCEND look like?
- Optional Prayer - 7:00 am
- Morning Session - 9:00 am
- Lunch - 12:00 pm
- Breakout Session - 1:30 pm
- Daily Mass - 3:00pm
- Free Time - 4:00 pm
- Evening Session - 8:00 pm
Will confession be available?
Yes! We will have numerous priests available to hear confessions throughout the conference. Once you arrive, we’ll be able to give you a detailed schedule with confession times listed.
ACCOMMODATIONS/PARKING
What's the plan for parking during ASCEND?
The Wyndham Orlando hotel allows us to park in their parking lot free of charge!
What meals are covered in my registration fee?
The following meals are covered in your fee:
Jan 3 - Continental Breakfast, Lunch
Jan 4 - Continental Breakfast, Lunch
Jan 5 - Continental Breakfast
The rest of the meals you will be able to try out one of the many restaurants nearby! Do not fear! Starbucks coffee will be served every morning before the morning session and again at lunch.
If I have severe food allergies, should I bring my own food?
Please note your food allergies on the registration form. The hotel will most likely be able to accommodate your needs. However, if your allergies are severe, we will contact you if we think you should bring your own food.
MISCELLANEOUS
Do I have to be involved in an SPO Chapter to attend ASCEND?
No! You are welcome to attend even if you’re not involved in an SPO chapter. ASCEND is for any students/young adults who want to encounter the Lord and other Catholics seeking to build His Kingdom!
COVID PRECAUTIONS
We will follow state guidelines as to COVID precautions i.e. mask wearing, social distancing etc. We ask that everyone attending make prudent decisions as best fits their needs and the care of others.
